Turning Point Partners hosts the Louisiana Violence Prevention Alliance in New Orleans and provides an ongoing partnership of several projects. Turning Point Partners provides office space and materials as the host site for the New Orleans VISTA. Currently one of our VISTAs in addition to Violence Prevention Taskforce Organizing also assists Turning Point Partners in workshops dealing with conflict resolution, parenting and communication for court appointed participants, teachers, corrections officers, as well as the general public. We also assist in Turning Point Partners work in victim -offender mediation, circle-work and drama therapy with young people, restorative justice and restorative discipline. One of our VISTAs sits on the Board of Directors for Turning Point Partners. In addition, because of this partnership, Louisiana Violence Prevention Alliance has become the fiscal agent of Turning Point Partners. The site supervisors at Turning Point Partners are Jean Handley, Executive Director and Lou Furman, Co-director.
